Humor needs Intelligence

Okay, first of all: Sorry for the last post. It was indeed a little bit tearing down. But today, the weather was fine and I'm totally happy again!

I've been thinking: Humor in his simplicity does need a little bit of intelligence. You sure are familiar with the situation that you tell a joke or something and nobody laughs. That's maybe because the joke wasn't really funny. Another explanation could be that all your listeners are too dumb to understand your thoughts.
A friend of mine said about this: "I'll stick with the simple jokes. Thinking really hurts"...
A statistic shows that men tend to tell more simple jokes while women try to be spontaneous and tell the more complex jokes. The same statistic also showed that men are most of the time making fun of the women, while women make fun of themselves. You see, women are definitely the victims in the comedy.
The next time you wanna tell a joke, just think a short moment about your audience and try to estimate if they are able to understand it. Otherwise, don't tell the joke. To explain a joke is one of the lamest things in the world.
